Luxury hair extensions, the most seamless method that brings comfort and confidence!

Invisible Bead Extensions

Handtied, Custom Colored, Custom Fit, Invisible Extensions

This is the most seamless method that EVERYONE is asking about!!!!

The newest trend in extensions, no glue, tape or adhesives Invisible Bead Extensions is the safest method because there is no adhesive application to your hair which helps keep your hair in a natural fall. Other beaded methods over direct your hair pulling it to one side causing pinkness and creating tension spots on your scalp. The method used to place IBE keeps your hair in the same direction it naturally grows giving you maximum scalp comfort throughout your wear. This method also allows you to wear your hair in a ponytail while remaining completely undetectable!

Extensions can transform your hair from “just okay” to AMAZING.   It’s not always about having longer hair, sometimes you just want fullness, or color without commitment or compromising the integrity of your natural hair.  Whatever your dream hair may be! To me, extensions are the most transformational service in the salon and one of the reasons why it is trending so hard in the beauty world.

The #1 most requested hand-tied extension method

Invisible Bead Extensions® was specifically created to solve 3 major problems encountered with the different types of hand-tied methods available.

1st and foremost was the damage to the client’s hair and scalp from tension, over-direction and haphazard installs.

2nd was client discomfort due to the contact of beads on the scalp and the common “clamp and crank” beading approach.

3rd was the complete lack of versatility and styling options that clients wearing beaded rows experienced. Exposed beads, bonds, and braids were all a woman saw when she wore her hair up.

With our patent-pending method and a revolutionary education model, Invisible Bead Extensions® has said goodbye to all 3 and helped stylists across the world to do the same.

Every Extension appointment requires a consultation appointment prior to installation for new guests.

During your Extension Consultation appointment we will discuss your hair goals and decide what Extension method and type would be best for you based on your lifestyle, the type of hair you have, what type of time between maintenance appointments you want, as well as what you would like to achieve with Extensions.  We will go over these, in depth, during your consultation to make sure you have the best fit for you. But this will give you some information so you’re not coming in blind and you have a little bit of an idea of what to expect.

We will also discuss the proper at home maintenance as well as the in salon maintenance. Pricing will be included in the consultation. Before you leave the appointment a deposit will be required to secure/book your installation appointment.

I custom match your color to the hair using handtied hair to create NATURAL beautiful dimension.

Maintenance (move up) is every 4-7 weeks depending on how quickly the hair grows or how often you are touching up you color, and how they are treated.

How long does it last?  What can I expect for upkeep?

After the initial install, we will schedule a “move up” for usually 7 weeks out. At your 1st move up, we will discuss how the extensions felt, if we need to make any adjustments, or add/take out a weft. After that your extensions will need to be tightened roughly every 8-10 weeks.  As long as the hair is being taken care of and you’re using the recommended products, your extensions should only need to be replaced every 8-12 months with proper care and maintenance.

How much hair will I need?

The amount of rows installed are based off of your desired results. For length 2-3 rows are usually needed. For fullness or volume, 1-2 rows may be needed. We are able to choose colors that will best match your hair, and we can custom color the hair as well.

How much can I anticipate spending on IBE?

An in-person consultation is required prior to booking an install. During the consultation we will go over length, color matching, your goals, and any other questions.

The price for the initial install is based on the desired length and fullness of your hair. For a quote, a consultation will be needed.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Will the extensions damage my hair?

No. This is the most gentle method out there. There is no heat, glue, or tape used during installation. The beaded foundation evenly distributes the weight of the extensions around your entire head, preventing stress and tension on any one spot.

Can I wash my hair often?

Yes. There is no glue, tape, or adhesive used during the installation process so you do not have to worry about shampoo breaking down that glue. You can wash as often as you please.

Can I brush my hair?

Of course you can! Simply hold the tops of your wefts and brush like normal! We will be sure to walk you through this process during your appointment.

Can I wear my hair up?

Absolutely! The beaded foundation is completely hidden and super flexible, allowing you to put your hair in a bun, ponytail, braids-you name it!

Can I use heat on my extensions?

You sure can! Your extensions will be 100% human hair, therefore you can style them as you would your natural hair. Using a heat protectant is important as well.

Extensions Home Care Instructions

Always use professional products:

You must always use products that are sulfate/paraben free. Use a leave-in conditioner and treat with a mask once a week if necessary. If applying heat, use a heat protectant to protect it from drying or discoloration.

Brushing:

Brush hair thoroughly multiple times a day.

-Use a Wet Brush or Boar Bristle Brush.

-With your free hand, keep pressure on the base of your row to eliminate tension and pulling while you brush.

-Also, make sure to separate your rows and brush in between each one.

-Brush your hair gently starting at the ends, working your way to root.

-Avoid excessive pulling or aggressive brushing to maintain extension quality

Washing:

— I suggest washing your hair 1 or 2 times a week using sulfate free, color safe, Hydrate Shampoo.

—Prior to showering, brush thoroughly and make sure hair is free from any tangles.

— Gently shampoo as normal, using a “V’ with index and middle fingers to cleanse the top & underside of the row, making sure not to rub vigorously along the weft line.

— With multiple rows it can be easier to separate and clip up to ensure thorough cleansing.

— Avoid rubbing the ends of the extensions together.

— Rinse, rinse, rinse! When you think you’ve rinsed thoroughly rinse a little more to ensure no residue is left behind which can lead to buildup & itchiness and can break down the tops of the wefts over time.

— Avoid conditioner along the top of the wefts as it can lead to slipping. Work conditioner from ears down thru ends & comb thoroughly, it’ll save you time.

— Use a Hydrating Hair Mask weekly or bi-weekly based on how frequently you are washing.

— Avoid washing your extensions daily as it will cause them to break down sooner lessening the lifespan of the wefts.

Drying:

-Gently dry to 80% with hair towel

-Apply a leave-in conditioner when damp

-Air dry hair is not suggested, use a hair dryer to ensure a smooth finish + never go to bed with wet hair and extensions

-Do not exceed medium heat setting

Styling:

— prep hair with smoothing cream

-Apply heat protectant to shield hair from heat damage

-Do not exceed medium heat setting

— When blow-drying, I suggest using high speed + medium heat. Too much heat can dry out the extensions & cause split ends lessening their life span.

— Always, and I repeat ALWAYS, use Thermal Protection. There is a difference between Heat Protection vs Thermal Protection so double check that it is in fact safe for those hot tools, ie. flat iron, curling iron, wand, blow-dry brush. For Hot Tools do not exceed 320°. Excessive heat can greatly decrease the lifespan of your extensions.

—The extensions like to hold water, like A LOT! Gently squeeze excess water from them as much as possible and avoid rubbing.

— I recommend drying the weft line & roots immediately. Excess moisture left along the top of the wefts will cause them to “swell” which will break them down and make it easier to catch when brushing causing “looping” and can lead to matting & molding if not completely dry.

-Use wet brush or boar bristle brush

-Use a hair oil consistently on ends of hair. Our scalp only produces enough natural oils for our natural hair, so you will need to supplement with a hair serum to allow continued moisture for your extensions.

Purple Shampoo:

-Do not put purple shampoo directly on the hair extensions.

Be diligent about a nighttime prep routine.

-Never go to sleep with wet hair, as it can cause extreme matting & tangling. Place hair in a loose top knot or braid. Use a silk pillowcase to keep hair manageable & frizz-free.

-If there is no way to avoid, this make sure to dry the top weft line 100% and secure the ends while sleeping.

-While sleeping your hair needs to be secured. I suggest using a scrunchie to secure for 2 loose, low ponytails or braids. This ensures you are not rolling over onto your hair and pulling or ripping it.

— I don’t recommend doing a mid ponytail as it puts too much tension on the from corners of your extensions so keep it either high, crown and above, or low at the base of your neck.

Take care after activities that cause sweating.

-When activities take place in humid conditions or when you are sweating such as in the gym, steam rooms, and saunas, make sure the extensions are dried immediately after. Focus on the weft line to avoid moisture retention and swelling.

Don’t forget your daily serum.

-Daily use of an oil/serum will help to keep your hair soft and manageable. Avoid tinted oils which will tarnish your blonde extensions.

Follow proper swimming/beach hair prep.

Swimming/Fitness:

We do NOT recommend swimming with your extensions. The risks include: hair discoloration (hair turning colors), absorption of unknown elements in various bodies of water that can cause damage to hair & extensions, tangling & matting, and excessive dryness. If you do choose to swim with your hair extensions, please know that there will be no refunds or replacements of any kind.

At minimum, we recommend coating your hair with a leave-in conditioner to act as a barrier. Wet your hair with tap water completely prior to getting in the pool/ocean/lake ect. After wetting, generously apply a leave-in conditioner or hair mask. Comb the conditioner or mask through your hair, then tightly braid or put into a tight ponytail or bun.

—Brush & wash your hair asap after swimming.

Sunscreen:

Sunscreen WILL discolor your extensions. Do everything you can to avoid your hair coming in contact with sunscreen. Putting sunscreen on your body and shoulders with your hair out of the way is NOT enough to keep sunscreen off of your extensions, as your hair may fall against your shoulder and even a simple rubbing can absorb into the hair and cause it to turn colors. Spray sunscreen is highly discouraged when trying to avoid sunscreen product touching your extensions. Sunscreen will cause your extensions to turn an orange/peach color and there is nothing that can be done to get them back to their original color. AM Style BY Design Inc. is not responsible for refunds/replacements if your extensions becomes discolored, so please, take great care in using sunscreen.

Always choose a sunscreen without the ingredient: avobenzone.

UV Rays:

Keep your hair pulled back & under a hat to protect your hair color & excess dryness.

PLEASE AVOID:

-Chlorine & Salt Water : Avoid swimming as it will discolor hair

-Do not use sunscreen with avobenzone as an ingredient.

-Be mindful of self-tanners, as they will discolor the extension hair

-Avoid any products that “strengthen” and contain protein as these will dry out extensions causing brittleness.

-Avoid Argan Oils as it acts as a barrier ultimately causing the hair to dehydrate as moisture cannot get in.

—Avoid overuse of purple shampoos & conditioners.

Remember:

Extensions are not your natural hair, special care and attention needs to be taken when caring for your hair extensions. Please follow these guidelines to ensure your hair extensions maintain quality.
