Knight & Unicorn The bad trying to take a hold of the good.
She is fighting the powers of good versus evil. These obstacles are lead by light and darkness. She powers through this with hope and peace, which is clearly represented by the unicorn. The symbolism of darkness is a representation of the hostility within human kind. As seen in final image 1, the unicorn is holding the power over the darkness. By sharing her love with the knight she is embracing all of her light. In contrary, as seen in image 2, the light of goodness is not always the victor, as there are moments in which the evil can get the best of us. Illustrated in “The battle scene,” image 4, the unicorn is shown fighting the knight thus representing the notion that evil can in fact be overcome by good. The overall idea of this representation of the yin versus yang is to create a modern supernatural superhero, with hidden showcasing of light and darkness. The unicorn represents hope and peace, in opposition to the knight, who represents evil and darkness. The collision of the unicorn and knight shows that they are equal in power; thus, you can’t have the good without the bad, nor the bad without the good.
